Using an optimized layout algorithm, SifoView displays all network devices and links clearly and aesthetically. The topology window updates the status of elements such as devices, interfaces, VPN links, HA links, etc. in real-time, allowing administrators to be updated on the most current network environment. Also, an alert engine will notify administrators of any events that require urgent attention.

When SifoVidew is used to manage large numbers of appliances, administrators can organize the topology into layers by using domains. Device management can also be streamlined into allowing specific administrators to only manage specific devices, further enhancing the security of the network.

SifoView has an event-correlation analysis capability that can effectively identify the relationship between events as being redundant, mutually exclusive or interrelated. With this function, SifoView filters large numbers of events and only notifies administrators of the meaningful events, cutting down the need for time-consuming and error-prone human analysis.

The system also uses several methods, including topology display and email alerts, to notify administrators of events and allowing them to monitor the network situation anytime, anywhere.

SifoView’s correlation conditions are defined using XML format, providing considerable flexibility and scalability for the event analysis function.

Configuration of an IPsec VPN tunnel involves complicated procedures such as authentication and configuring encryption, and setting up of secured domains. Such manual configuration is prone to errors that are difficult to troubleshoot.

IPsec VPN configuration is simplified using SifoView's graphical user interface with just a few mouse clicks to establish a tunnel. SifoView checks for consistency of the device's parameters between both ends of the tunnel to ensure that the display is correct.

Administrators can also perform real-time checking of the operating status of the tunnel once it is established.

SifoView is equipped with a comprehensive log and reporting system with the ability to process up to 1000 log records, and a log backup reminder system to prevent any data loss.

This powerful reporting system is capable of generating more than 300 types of reports including log reports, performance reports and event reports for various statistics such as traffic, attacks, resource usage, etc. An Enhanced Trend Analysis Reports feature compares the statistics collected at different time intervals in a single report, greatly facilitating network analysis.

The reports can also be exported and stored in local and portable media.

Device performance indexes can be defined as objects in SifoView which allows greater flexibility for monitoring purposes. Commonly used indexes such as CPU usage, Disk usage, interface traffic flow, etc. are predefined in SifoView. Administrators can also define other unique indexes by specifying formulas using elements that can be monitored.

 A threshold can also be configured for each object. Thresholds help detect abnormalities in the collected data that will facilitate network status analysis.

SifoView acts as a front-end to each security device’s configuration interface. This means that administrators can login and access different devices' interfaces from SifoView automatically, in just one common platform.
